What are at least three ways to prevent soil erosion?

1. Gardening. Grow plants that are indigenous to your area. It can be interesting to make something grow outside of its usual domain, but the local flora have been there for a very long time and aid in conservation. Another thing to do is to plant trees and shrubs. These can provide shelter for your soil, while the roots will help to prevent excess water from washing it away.

2. Keep your soil moist, but do not drown it. This can be especially difficult during dry months. But over-watering can not only wash away soil, but cause it to degrade. Should your soil dry up, though, it should be easy to fix by lightly covering with damp piles of mulch.

3. Of all the 10 ways to conserve soil, this may be one of the more enjoyable. It may be tricky at times, but keeping enough vegetation strong, healthy and growing will bind the soil together and protect its surface.

Describe 3 abiotic factors that could affect biotic potential (population growth) and how they would affect it

Some of the abiotics factors that are affecting the population are Age distribution, Natural calamities and population fluctuations and cycles.

Age Distribution

The relative abundance of the organisms of various age groups in the population is called age distribution of population.

With regard to age distribution, there are three kinds of populations.

i) Rapidly growing population is a population, which has high birth rate and low death rate, so there are more number of young individuals in the population.

ii) Stationary population is a population, which has equal birth and death rates, so population shows zero population growth.

iii) Declining population is a population, which has higher death rate than birth rate, so the population has more numbers of older individuals.

age structure of hypothetical populations

Age Structure of Hypothetical Populations which are expected to increase, remain stable or decline with the passage of time.

Natural Calamities

A drastic change in the environment destabilizes or even exterminates a population. Natural calamities such as earthquake, volcanic eruptions etc. cause drastic changes in the environment leading to the destruction of the resources.

population fluctuations and cycles

Populations are not stable and always exhibit up and down variations in response to changes in environmental or intrinsic factors.

The irregular variations in size of populations are called fluctuations or it is also called as population cycle.

vegetarian or vegan


Would you consider becoming a vegetarian or vegan? Why or why not?

Vegetarians don't eat meat at all, they only eat vegetables and Vegans don't eat anything that comes from a animal like cow or chicken. so i don't think that i would be a vegetarian or vegan. Because i love any kind of food specially the meat (carne asada) and chicken. that is why i don't think that i would be a vegetarian or vegan...

What i want know about Environmental Science is about everything that has to do with it for example, what is causing the global warming. Also i want to learn more about the space, planets, stars and animal that are about to be extinct. I would like to learn about scientist that are developing experiments to stop the global warming.

I know a little bit about space and planets. Also i learned about what type of volcanoes are violent and how the lava's temperature affects its speed.
